Why would it be under 800rpm?

You’re seriously saying you don’t understand that you can slow and stop in 5th or 6th (whatever is top gear) without downshifting?
Wow you really don’t have a clue.

Try it. Just as you come to a stop dip your clutch and stop. It works on every car. And no you don’t stall. It’s called being able to drive properly.

Do you need to know, or care?
Ok, you obviously have more experience than me, so I'll leave it there.

I came from a Tundra and this time I wanted a truck that fits in my Garage comfortably so I went with the Off Road. Dealer in Calgary has a hard time stocking any Tacoma but they had no issues finding a SB in Vancouver to bring over to Calgary. Had they offered SB Sport here I would have considered it, but the Sport rides somewhat stiffer too. So far I think the soft OR suspension is right on for me.

Go to Heninger. No one could touch them on price when I shopped around. No haggling either.

What sort of prices are they offering?
We want a double cab manual. So a sport unless a lower spec one is available for 2018.
    Thank you

I ordered mine and they gave me the same deal whether I bought one off the lot or ordered one. So I ordered the colour and package I wanted. They were about $1000 lower than the next closest dealer's price.

Sorry to pester you with more questions. Did you look at all the dealerships in the city (Stampede, Country Hills, South Point, Charlesglen, Canyon Creek)? What about High River?

Any particular salesperson you dealt with at Heninger?

Yeah, went to Charlesglen, Country Hills, South Pointe, and Cochrane Toyota. Emailed Canyon Creek and Stampede as well. Someone I work with mentioned he went to them all and Heninger was the lowest still and told me to check them out also. He was right. I asked the other dealers if they could beat Heninger's price. They all said no. One dealer even told me I'm getting the vehicle for invoice, and I should take Heninger's deal. Talk to Patrick.

Or, I could help you with buying one. I know I am at Mayfield in Edmonton but I am sure that I will be the same as Henniger.

I'm sure you could, but Heninger also throws in the free lifetime oil changes as long as you follow Toyota's schedule. Would be a long way to drive for those.

Same, if you buy from me you can get our Lifetime free oil change program but you would need to go to Country hills or South Pointe Toyota

2018 model is on the Toyota.ca website this morning. As far as I can tell, about $1800 more for the leather and the radar system, relative to the 2017 which didn't have those features.

I have a DCSB V6 manual in cement grey on order, supposed to be built in Texas next week. Can't wait.

The 2018's have Cement Grey Metallic as an option now. I like the colour, but I thought it was going to be the Cement Grey the pro's had the previous year.

Plus is looks like the 2.7l 5sp is officially dead. 2.7l 6sp auto's only. :(

Even worse, the only manual double cab has got even more fat and bloated with unnecessary toys and bling.
I was hoping for a double cab manual off road or sr for 2018.
Guess we will have to grab a 17 sport manual double cab quickly even though it’s not what we really want.

    Not unusual for Calgary.
The top of most brands dealer is normally one of the Calgary ones.

Do Canadian Tacomas come with square wheels like on SouthPark?

No. But they still have the USA owners manual included in case any Americans come here.
You know the one written in crayon with no words over 6 letters.
