Sirius and XM are now the same company. That being said, Toyota partnered with XM way back while many of the others went with Sirius. That should't make a difference as they are the same company and should be the same satellites. Now that being said, in the past , when they first came out on the market, meaning sat radio, XM satellites were lower on the horizon as the market was the US and not Canada. Sirius satellites were further north if I remember correctly. What this meant that the line of site to the satellite was better for those of use living north of the border. Not sure if that is an issue anymore.

I've owned three toyotas, and they all have had horrible reception for satellite radio especially on the west coast.

9.7l/100km, geese I'm getting about 11-12ll/100km, mind you with BFGKO2's E rated/10ply tire installed, I'm more then happy with that, wheels are a bit heavy but they wear like iron and take a beating with a light truck. Actually, any vehicle I have put BFG's on, I've lost about 2-3l/100km on average. The stock tires these trucks come with are garbage. Regardless, I'm ecstatic as it is way better then the 2nd gens and blows my tundra out of the water. Now if I could get a bit more load capacity in the truck though then the 1000lbs (I think) I have on my DCLB.

Hopefully the TSB, will fix my issue, I am debating a detour down to Washington/MOntana within the next month or so if it doesn't come to Canada. I tend to do a lot of driving in the hills/mountains as most of us do here in the PNW and I find the hunting for gears and getting stuck in 4th in cruise to be annoying. Does it make me hate the truck, hell no, I love it, but it needs a few tweaks. Price we pay for being early adopters.

You need to get out of Toronto more often and hit up some real mud. Kidding, Mine spends a lot of time on construction sites as well, she loves the dirt/mud and on weekends home, I tend to take back country roads if I can find them. Absolutely love this truck. I started off being super anal about vacuuming the truck out, so much that I bought a dust buster for the truck as I hate dirt/debris everywhere. That is slowly wearing off, but i tend to still clean the interior out at least once a month.

5 000 km. No/non/nein/nej issues with my 2016 Tacoma off road which I purchased late January 2016.
I bet if we did a poll of all Tacoma owners, I'm sure the vast majority would be satisfied with their purchase.
There is a reason why Tacoma is still the best mid size seller.

I researched it and they do still use different satellites which isn't surprising since they were recently two separate companies. Interestingly, they are both located in a different location (in regards to North America) in their geosyncrous orbits along the equator.

The XM satellite is almost due south of me (I'm in ON) while the Sirius satellite is due south of the west coast. The XM satellite is therefore actually a bit higher in the sky at my location.

NEWS FLASH got a call from service manager David at Open Road Toyota I Port Moody just now the TSB for the tranny ECU flash is posted on the Canadian dealers site. I am in right now getting it done. Great service at this dealership so far the best buying and service experience I have had from any car maker. Ming was my hook up for a truck and David the service manager is top notch.

Can you post up your service sheet once it's done?

My service guys also called me today telling me they now have a Canadian TSB ready to go. Due to my own busy schedule though I'm not able to get it into the shop for another two weeks. Will report back after.

Let us know how it goes Bert..!!
Make sure you say that you are having some of the specific drivability issues that the TSB addresses, just in case the dealer wants to be a dork..!

Sweet mine goes in on the 6th for is 8k check up. I called today to make the appointment and said I would like the transmission looked at because of the shifting issues and delay. They knew all about it and said they were waiting for the Canadian TSB to be issued. Guess Ill call back and confirm with them.

I might need actual proof to get my dealership to move on this haha. Good to see Calgary moving on this. I have a few 1000km before my next service, and I will be sure to push hard on it:)

Well I guess this is technically my first post so hello fellow Canadians! , so glad to see the tsb made available for Canada. Now I can rest assured that 2017's should be shipping with the updated software. Now if only Toyota would offer the dcsb off road.
    With OEM command start!!

Toyota will offer a dcsb off road for 2017 in Canada. Or do you mean you wish that it would come with OEM remote start too?
