Mine was the first this was done at my dealership. Girl on the phone had no idea what I was talking about. Had to ask her boss. Her boss called me back about a hour later. Booked a appointment. Told me it should take between 1-2 hours. I dropped the truck off at 1pm. By 1:30 they called my cellphone and had it done. They didn't take it for a test drive. They just drive it into the shop then updated the software.

Is it as simple as hooking it up to the computer? They said they are going to check the transmission fluid and hook it up to the computer to see what comes up.

They just plug it in to the obd II port to the computer in the dealership. Then update the software like you would a phone or a computer. If they are going to check the transmission fluid too. It will take longer.

Glad to hear about the TSB!
    Wondering....
I mainly drive in "manual" with my automatic so not sure if I will notice a difference when applied.
We are having issues that everyone states but (sorry if someone posted this already)
Has anyone been experiencing a hesitation when launching from a stop?
I get to 1500RPM and then it hesitates, drops about 250RPM then continues..

I got mine done yesterday and I haven't spent much time driving it yet (maybe 40 kms), but immediately it seemed more responsive accelerating from a stop. It seems almost comparable to driving in ECT mode prior to the update. The shifts are faster and smoother and it doesn't seem to be in as much of a rush to shift up to 4th or 5th now at 50km/hr. R to D delay is significantly improved.

Got 6 hours of highway driving coming up this weekend, so will get to see if the cruise control issues have been resolved.

I find the driveability has improved. Truck seems to be more responsive. Less sluggish.

Ive never been so excited for an upcoming lube job.. lol
However I NEVER drive in automatic or use cruise control so the tranny really doesn't bother me..

Pm me if you want to run that trail. I'm probably leading a group up sometime this month. Keep in mind though we will be doing the hard route and not the Sunday driver route. You should have sliders and some armor underneth for that trail.

This was my concern last time I tried it, no sliders.

Thanks for the invite!! I'll take caution and wait for sliders.. I don't consider myself a Sunday driver but I will heed your advice and Bryans.

Are you gonna beat up your new truck or are you gonna provide her with some "protection" from the "off-Road" nasties that might soil her and take her virginity..??

Just east of Lethbridge. I recommend running sliders, good LT rated AT/MT tires, and a mild lift in the Crowsnest. Lots of places to get hung up and lots of rocks to blow out tires in that area.

Currently rolling on TOYO at2s, eventually sliders and def. a lift in the future. 2016 already gains an inch which is nice.

Been on a few pretty tricky trails in the pass with no damage, it's inevitable and the g.f. will be pissed but that's why we got it.
Hope to see you out there!

Yup, it's like gambling. You never know when the house will kick your ass. Armor and sliders help the odds though. That being said I pushed in a bit of my box a couple of weeks ago. Once you start playing you start paying.

My blue Pelfreybilt sticks out like a sore thumb out there. If I see a black 3rd Gen I'll be sure to stop and say hi. PM me if you're looking for a local group to run with. I know of a few.

given that msrp will be announced between now and the end of the month, I'd say soonest would be September for dealer stock ordered models. I'm ordering mine after MSRP is announced (not comfortable with buying without knowing the price) and with build times I expect to get mine around November-December

Just spoke with a dealer in Ontario, he has 6 pre-orders out already due by the end of this month.
