The TRD Pro is nice. But not over $50000 nice.

In Alberta it's a 68,000 dollar truck after financing charges and taxes... assuming there are no hidden fees.

Needless to say, I have a few 2016 models still in stock here at Mayfield in Edmonton.

That's why I leave it to the experts!

Close to that here too. And I thought my '16 Limited was a lot. I'd never pay that price for the extras. Now I get why you said "very limited supply in Canada" Mike. Or something similar to that. I can do without Crawl, and I could do everything else for 5k on my truck, including the exhaust.

Those so called "pros" will NOT be a hit..! That's MY prediction...!!
Stupid pricing Toyota.... You will make people buy F-150's cuz they can't afford your STUPID PRICES...:annoyed::confused:

I don't think they were meant to be a "hit" given the extremely low production numbers. Think of this as a collectors item, it'll likely make more sense then.

But thats because of the thousands of dollars that Ford throws on the hood to purchase the F150. When it comes to resale Tacos will always will
be worth more. The PRO is a limited vehicle that will cater to people who don't want to mod it and void the warranty.

We are talking about a Tacoma, not a Corvette. Actually even scratch that. Ask a guy who paid 100k for a ZR-1 in the 90's what he thinks of modern collector models. I know a guy who just sold his for 17K... and that was a good price. The Pro will never be worth more than it is now.

The F150 and Tacoma are within a few percent on resale. It's not the spread it used to be.

Then again they are totally different vehicles with a different market.

Correct! The mods on the pro can be bought for a lot less then from the factory. Why would anyone pay a premium for something that can be bought aftermarket? The Pro is nothing special, just something for people who want it factory installed and under warranty, or those who are pretenders and want to be
(add your own name here). Maybe the plate on the side of the truck is worth it for someone, if it is, enjoy,.

If you're buying a 2017 TRD Pro you should be happy for what it is. Yes, you will be only one of a few who owns a real one but you'll have to put up with the copycats that will flood the market within a few months. You should be happy with spending whatever you want for what you want, a unique not so unique vehicle that will be special to you and that's what counts in the end if you're happy.

This is the only place I could think of to post this. This is why I hate shopping local or even in Canada for that matter. I'm building tool mounts for my track system. Can't buy t nuts locally. Amazon.com has 5 for $15 USD. Amazon.ca you ask? Same nuts, in a 5 pack, for anywhere from $50 CDN to, wait for it.... $199 + shipping! WTF amazon?! Thank christ some amazon.com dealers ship to Canada. Also doesn't hurt I live only about an hour from the border, so I'll often get packages shipped there and go get them. Even paying for fuel and duty at the border is cheaper. Shop local my ass!

Oh, I agree. Even with exchange we seem to get ripped off. For some reason some sellers seem to think we are like 10 times the price of what it would be in the U.S.

It has crawl control and terrain select dials. I looked into it when I bought my off road and was comparing the manual vs. auto. The stick
does not include the aforementioned items.

What I don't understand is the price. The price is way more then the sum of the parts. Or am I missing something here?
