You must work at Canadian Tire? It's the only RIV inspection center that I'm aware of. I had my US purchased motorbike inspected there before registering it in Ontario.

You're not able to finance it, in fact without a USA residence/address, you are not allowed to buy a brand new car from a Toyota dealership in the USA, you'd have to have someone else buy it and then get it from them.

We're actually one of the very few places that are NOT Canadian Tire. I'm at Stampede Toyota in Calgary.

Jeff do you have any info when Toyota is going to have a build tool for the 2016s. Any info when they will be in Canadian lots?

I just spoke to a Dealership here in BC about when they expect to see the first of the 2016's on the lot here in BC and the New Car Sales Manager said that the first one is due on their lot around October 28th. and then they should see a much larger selection available on the lot in November.

They do not have pricing yet, just build sheets, the first one arriving at their lot is a Blue Limited.

I know we are a small market due to our small population and logistic challenges for shipping to a large spread out territory, BUT I think Canada would buy a ton of the TRD OR Double cabs! Long and short box id offered here...WHY NOT TRY!!!???

When the exchange rate was close to par it made sense importing US vehicles. I had a slightly used 2009 TRD DC Off road from the US...but with the rate today you will be paying over $46000 CAD for a $35000 USD vehicle (PLUS TAX)
Do you really want one that badly?

I never called them back, but Valley and Granville Toyota both called in the past 2 weeks with "amazing deals on a new Tacoma"...

It's a Toyota BC deal , not necessarily dealer specific

And you really think Toyota Canada will not charge us anyway the exchange rate... The only difference is that I would pay US state tax, and GST/PST above all that.

Constructive answer by the way. Really helpful.

What's the motivation? clear out the 2015s?
When I got my 2013 it was 0.9% finance for 4 years, I can't imagine they are beating that.

Is it just me, or does it appear that the 6MT TRD Off Road doesn't mention anything about including a rear locker? The only place I saw the rear locker mentioned was on the trd off road 6AT... I really hope I read it wrong or it was an omission... :(
