There are not many options I want from them, the Bed Extender, Tow Package, and maybe the 3M Paint Protection Film and I was thinking if I got them at their cost I might do OK.

 

I know our dollar is real shitty now but even so, the price you can get stuff on ebay is still worth it. I just have the stuff sent to a place in Blaine just as you cross the border and they only charge $2 for every package. Toyota wanted over $500 for a tonneau cover, I got the same thing off ebay for just over $200, Toyota could not even come close to that price.

 

The Tacoma you ordered doesn't come with a Tow Package, I thought they all did.. The protection Film I guess you have to get the dealer to do that but I would check ebay for the Bed Extender.. It looks like the extender is around $200 US on line. $383 from Toyota

 

Yeah, I think your right on the accessories, a lot cheaper to go aftermarket, maybe wait for the Black Friday/Black Monday Amazon Sales.

I talked to the Sales rep about the Tow Package (I am not towing anything, just wanted the added coolers) and he says the Limited comes with all that stuff so I am going to have to research a bit further...

 

Don't all the Canadian TRD trucks come with the tow package like the 2nd gens ?

 

That is what I thought, told the Salesman that I wanted the Tow Package and he said the Limited already comes with it.

FYI, he is offering $2000.00 off of MSRP and Dealer cost on any Accessories...

I am looking at the Limited.

 

No offense, but why on earth would they give you dealer cost on accessories? He'll sell the truck no matter what at MSRP so why just essentially give away accessories?

I feel like he's got to at least go cost+10% but what do I know

 

Don't know but I told him I was shopping around and another Dealership had offered $2000.00 off of MSRP and he came back and said they would match the $2000.00 off of MSRP and give me accessories at Dealer Cost, I have it in writing...

 

Maybe I should be shot with a ball of my own shit but I just put a downpayment on a 2016 Limited.

Got it for $2000.00 off of MSRP ( MSRP yet to be announced) and Dealer Cost on any Accessories (Which I may or may not utilize).

It is all in writing and the deposit is refundable.

Just don't think I am going to do any better than that with a Toyota Dealership in BC, the deposit is refundable and it will be here by the end of the month.

Cash, no trade, no financing.

 

I think ebay is cheaper then Amazon but good to check both anyway.... I went down to Granville Toyota today to see a Tacoma TRD sport they have in there just for today,... One thing I don't like is where they have relocated the oil filter, I left there still not knowing where it is located, I wanted to look in the manual but it wasn't in the truck.. I like to do my own oil changes so it will be interesting..

 

I wonder is all dealers have the same MSRP price, it could be like going to a store where they have a sale so they inflate the price then put a 50% discount on the sticker but your probably only getting 10-20% off... I would definitely check more then 1 dealer for the MSRP price...

 

Yes, all dealers have the same msrp. The dealerships buy them from Toyota Canada and mark them up from there. The more the vehicle, the more mark up and more wiggle room on the price.

 

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Too good in fact haha. Always skeptical of dealers...

Either did I but I guess they saw cash walking out the door and I hear they have a fancy new building they are paying for, say 40 Million worth of new building...

 

The local dealer cannot manipulate the MSRP listed by Toyota Canada on their web site.

 

Last week i was in Escondido, Ca and stopped by the local Toyota dealer to see the 16 Tacoma they had on the lot..

Now i'm back in Canada and we still have no pricing available.. does it really take that much time for Toyota Canada to figure out pricing??

Anyone know the pricing ETA?

The trucks hit the dealer lots. I'll find out when my truck gets here. Sucks it's built and sitting in Toronto. Maybe they don't know what to charge me for it yet?

 

Pricing should be next week I would think, launch is mid October, pricing is always a little before.

Did you test drive or just check it out?

 

Haven't seen it yet. It's stuck in the Toronto port along with others so Toyota can release a batch all at once. Mine will be in the first batch.
