Ouch. That's shitty. I have a 6 hour drive to pick mine up on Thursday (at least I wasn't the one who stole yours), here's hoping there's no hiccups/catastophies! Hopefully the insurance stuff goes smoothly, like what are the odds? :(

Oh no!! That's awful. Hopefully you're not too injured and insurance isn't too much of a nightmare.

Well... just about to pull off the bull bar and off road lights, pulled off the tonneau cover and weatherteks and cleaned her out last night... Its probably too late to go back now... after that I have to pack up the truck and head over a province in the morning to pick up the new one... those low oil pressure posts have made me wonder what the heck I'm doing, and driving my 12 again the last couple days (I rarely drive it to work) reminded me that I really haven't used up much of its useful life. This is definitely a rant, but the butterflies and anxiety have definitely started to kick in now that this really is for real.

It's just the fear of the unknown I guess, but I always get like this when I'm about to spend a lot of money. The friends and family will definitely harass me too, but I have to say I'm pretty excited about the idea of driving a standard again.

That definitely makes me feel better about my choice, I can't wait to drive it in 5 hours and hopefully own it in 6!

On a side note, I've never seen my tacoma naked before, it's kinda weird.

From what I understand the lift only voids the parts replaced .....they have to prove the rest ...not 100%...I know there is a warranty act that spells it all out ..gotta find that myself actually ..

I certainly understand your trepidation! I'm about to start the same process. How was your "out of province" buying experience? I'm thinking about heading to Calgary since the local dealer has so little product and never moves on MSRP..... tnx!

LOL!!! Regina is my local dealer too. I was talking to then earlier in the year, and bugged them enough times they knew I was very interested, yet I never got a call. I always left there feeling the toyota guys were arrogant. Honestly I would try and buy thru lexus regina before toyota, those guys were always good for a chat while waiting for service, after the toyota ones had shut me down. I didnt do awesome on price, but they gave me 1k off and 1k more for my trade then what I'd heard thrown around in Regina. I'll let you know in a few hours how it went down. I'm just stopped in swift current for gas.

My experience EXACTLY! Was in there on Monday for service on another vehicle and couldn't even find a salesperson who had a clue about the new Tacoma's despite 2 of them sitting outside the door (sadly access cabs .... wth) ... enjoy your new ride, you clearly got a better deal than you would have in Regina and got the vehicle probably a month or two sooner!

Lol and they probably still have 10 to 15 2015s on the lot cuz they hate to deal on them. I'm actually going for an access cab manual, but I know that's not for everyone... 100km to go!

Side note: I'm not sure why all these second Gen guys are complaining about the 2016 auto tranny shift points/searching for gears - I keep having to shift mine to 4th at hills to keep it from constantly shifting between 3 to 5th.

Totally agree with you man... every word..!! YOU are the only person who gives a shit about YOUR truck.... I got mine today and the service says I gotta bring it in every 16,000kms to get them to tighten the propeller shaft bolts... Excuse me, but if they tend to come loose...FIX IT.... put a retainer on them.... .DONE... NO... they want to tighten them every 16kms... Dumb ass shit.. I've never had a "u" joint loosen up in my life..hOW BOUT YOU..??

Man... you gotta keep them from sticking their hands in your wallet...!!.. That's all they want...
