I’ve been looking for a bit for a new Off road manual but it’s not available in Canada. Only the sport or pro. I’ve talked to my local dealer and it looks like in Manitoba where I am there probably won’t be any allocations for a manual pro. So I guess my question is, is there a big difference between the sport and the off road

There are a ton of threads here on the merits of an Off Road vs a Sport.

Off Roads are available in Canada with an MT but only in an Access Cab. I'm assuming you're after a double but just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'm in Manitoba and had my MT Pro delivered a couple of weeks ago. It took 7 months to get it but you can definitely get one in MB.

There won't be many allocated to dealers in MB, mainly due to sales and population, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Which dealer told you that you can't?

If you're willing to travel MT Pros will be more easily allocated in Ontario, Alberta, and BC.

The rear locker, the shocks, the sport gets a hood scoop whereas the offroad doesn't. Wheels and tires, and the sport has painted fender flairs, whereas the offroad has black plastic. You can actually get a Manual offroad in canada, but only as a Access Cab (2 doors with the smaller rear suicide door). Everything else is the same for the most part.

The off roading differences are a bigger rear diff, Rear Locker, Crawl Control, MTS (Multi-Terrain Select) and Bilstein off road Suspension. Also 16" OR rims

Not on a manual. All manuals get the bigger rear end.

The other thing that’s weird up here is the manual sport is only available in the premium package. If you compare premium pkgs it’s about 2k less for the manual sport vs the auto OR. But in the Pro the Manual is 4K less than the auto.

If you are going to lift, and add a better skid plate and want far better headlights, the cost difference makes the PRO well worth it.

plus you get a better stereo, and the 2022 has an even better suspension etc.

This was from JPtoyota. Where did you get yours from? I’m on the fence though. While I do like the pro not sure if it’s in the budget. The finance rates are even worse on them.

I purchased mine through Birchwood. I don't know how many Pros they had for 2021 but mine was the only manual. They only had three Pros of any kind in 2020.

It took them five months to get an allocation for my specifc truck.

The rates sucked...I refinanced the next day.

Do you mind sending me a pm what you paid. Most dealers right now won’t budge from msrp

This odd supply fact of Manual, Double cabs is why I have a TRD Sport. I didn't see the added value in the Pro because ultimately I know I planned on modifications. The Sport may not have the locker but most people that do have it never use it. I do like the fact that the truck still has the 8.75" diff and 4.30 gears. The suspension is firmer, but there are so many choices out there for upgrades that it is truly mind boggling.

And for prospective, just started picking up my parts for the spring, $670 for TRD Pro Replica wheels, $1400 for Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2.0 suspension kit and I will be well set up pretty decently for way cheaper then the Pro.

Do Canadians drive their trucks with fenders hanging out like they do with boats ?

Isn’t AC off-road still available with MT?

I have a Polar Bear and a Moose in the igloo / garage. Both have fenders hanging out...

The Polar Bear has better traction in the snow BTW...
