when i went to pay for my lift a couple of weeks ago, i noticed that i paid almost $400 in taxes. 5% provincial sales tax and 5% government sales tax. but what im really wondering is, do you other canadians mind paying this much?
my take is that i dont mind paying for public schools, police (even though they follow me around lots because im a teenager), army, health care and many other services.

I didn't mind until I had spent a year in alberta only paying 5%, then going back to 12% in manitoba. I spent the last 7 months not paying taxes on anything am an not looking forward to going back to 12% again.
on the flip side taxes pay my salary so yay taxes
