Don't have any good photos yet, winter roads since we brought the truck home at the end of Oct.. I'll edit this post when it gets cleaned up and photo-ed.

I was all lined up to order another Arrow cap for the new 3rd gen truck for pickup in Summerland, I had a quote for $2000 +tax for a Mark1; sliding front window, 70/30 side windows (I ended up selling the 2nd Gen Mark1 canopy for $1000). My only concern was there were no pictures of an Arrow installed on the 3rd gens yet.

I stopped in at Canopy West just to see what they had.. ended up ordering a Range Rider Cruiser; matched the $2000 price for a higher model than the Arrow. Sliding front window, 70/30 side windows, 3rd brake. Was able to look at one in the parking lot. Range Rider is built across the highway from Arrow in Penticton.

It's on, and looks great. Very happy with the choice.

Ordered an Arrow mark I for my MGM DCSB, supposedly Arrow did not have a mold for the 3rd gen's short box and would purchase another manufacturers and build it to my order. I'm hoping it will look and fit good to suit my needs
Getting a color match cab height with sliding front windows, one windoor and the other with a slider with a pet screen
Now need to rig something up to hold weight for a RTT.........any suggestions??

Figured I would update my status on the canopies. My ARE overland failed miserably right out of the gate, from the poor install, to the leaky windows, yes windows as in every one of them.

Action canopy out of Moncton used the wrong sized gasket on the canopy so it didn't seal well on the rails. This was removed and replaced when I got back out west by another action store. New windows were ordered and the canopy still leaked. Once again it was back to the shop and they got new windows. At this point I had decided to sell the canopy as I could guarantee they couldn't fix it right seeing as how the windows.gaskets were installed (overtightened screws causing gaskets to extrude out btw the windows and frames, etc) then they dropped the canopy on the ground damaging all four corners.

This started a shit show with them and ARE, basically the verdict was we will fix it, sorry we damaged the canopy, here is a 250 dollar voucher for our store. I'll never ever set foot again in one of their stores, after the canopy was supposedly fixed for the third time and I sold (sadly at a heavily reduced rate as they had damaged it), the windows all needed to be replaced once again because they were not installed correctly. Morons.

Buyer beware when working with the action canopy stores (Moncton and Grande Prairie).

I've since moved onto an ALUCAB canopy, this is an amazing canopy, pricey but light years better IMO then the fibre glass shells.

I thought I'd post up for any other Canuck looking for info on Range Rider Caps, as I hunted all over looking for reviews to not find many, if any.
Range Rider Apex: colour matched, carpeted headliner, screened 70/30 windows & I had added Yakima roof tracks. I wanted the fold down slider but it was a $400 extra cost.
All said and done, mounted on my Cement Dclb sport, $3,600.
So far only complaints are that the hinges on the rear window are made of a plastic/polycarbonate that I'm doubtful will last it's lifetime and once it warms up I'll have to spend a few hours fixing leaks at the front of the box and the holes just inside the tailgate on the box floor.
The fit seems better than most canopies I've taken a close look at. The colour is really close for a sight un-seen paint match using only the paint code. These caps are also made to order so the lead time can be a bit if they are busy but this cap was built the day after they recieved my order. They are also Canadian made in Summerland B.C, I'll always pay the little extra to support fellow Canucks.20180409_120210.jpg 20180409_120205.jpg 20180409_120156.jpg 20180409_120145.jpg

Yes the canopy has been on for a few weeks now and I have been very pleased with the out come. The folks at the Canopy Store was great to deal with and fast and efficient install. The Arrow mark 1 looks great on my taco, fits well and the color matched nicely
Retail was around 1900cdn but I opted for carpet liner, break lights, sliding front window and one windoor, all in all quite happy

Nice! It looks slick. Thanks for posting pictures and your experience.

The reason I asked is that I had ordered one back in February, but was starting to get the runaround from the dealer. They finally called yesterday and said that it has arrived and is ready for install. Looking forward to getting it on the truck next Saturday.

Sorry to hear, that's too bad. But that was my experience at Action in Timmins as well.
They completely don't care, don't know the product, and are generally ignorant and rude. I won't deal with them again either.

Open to selling my snug top (same as leer) 2 mo old cement Grey colour matched. 3k. Paid 4. Upgrading to go fast camper. DM for pics / details. Located in Vancouver bc.
I really like it and recommend them over leer. Same manufacturer a bit cheaper and lots of customization options etc.

At the prices being asked for canopies here, I went to look at Tufport inserts. At onl350 lbs, and with a triple sealed door, they are about 10X as awesome as a canopy. Seriously worth checking out for 6.5k. I saw one in person and that will be my next canopy/ camper. Made in BC.

    Wow!
I like the look of the a r e overland because it will match my black/white colour scheme, so I got a quote today from action truck centre in ottawa... one windoor, sliding/folding front, single door knob, carpeted ceiling, rails for future rack... it was 3675.00 plus tax, so over 4 grand. After reading these nightmare reviews about Action I have cold feet now.
Does anyone like the a r e overland? Do they all leak???

Anyone have any experience with Fibrotech caps on their 3rd Gen? I had gotten a used one for my second Gen about 4 years ago and it seemed to hold up very well. I believe they are based in Quebec.

That's the company that makes Spacekap. A lot of the commercial outfits seem to use Spacekaps around here.
