And I have a bad feeling I won't be able to keep up with this thread do to the 6 month head start on BS.

However I'm still waiting on my OHV sticker. The state is running nearly 2 months behind. So FYI of you need anything Ina hurry when it expires, order it early. My coworker is out of work until her new security license comes in

Since I live like 45minutes from Barnwell i'm definitely going to try to come to this. Will one survive with only 2wd at something like this?

I’ve done a few trails at barnwell in 2 wheel drive. Still lots of fun to be had there. And I’m sure there are many people who will help you out if you get stuck somewhere.

Not being a dick but they generally don’t let 2 wheel drives on the trails. They get stuck and slow down and clog up the trail. Not starting that whole “My 2wd with a locker and 35’s can out wheel your 4x4 on every trail either” argument because while it’s possible for a 2wd to do some trails in general no they can’t do what a 4x4 does and they get stuck and nobody wants to pull a prerunner around all day either.

    Truck stuff
2wd is allowed but they do not allow them to join the organized trail runs. You have to find your own groups or run solo. I would never recommend you run solo even if you are 4wd. Being 2wd you run a much higher risk of getting into trouble needing help to get through trails.
When you have to depend on the skinny pedal to make it past obstacles you run a much higher risk of breaking things and getting stuck on a trail. An example of this I recently saw happen was at Hidden falls a few weeks ago. A 2wd guy was out solo and broke a tie rod or something in his steering. He had to get a ride to our camp from one of the employees at the park since he was solo and couldnt get a hold of anyone else at the park. He then had to get a ride to town to try and get a replacement part while his truck sat on the trail broken and was not able to be towed off the trails. When he got back he discovered that he received the wrong part. I ended up giving him and his girlfriend a ride back to town(this was kinda funny because his gf had to ride in the "back seat" which has been replaced with a custom dog platform, with my 2 dogs, since I was the only sober person their and they couldnt find an uber that would pick them up from the entrance of the park) where they got an uber to get back home and get her car. The group I as with was able to help him locate the right part and he had to come back the next day to get the part installed and his truck off the trail so he could get it home. Morale of the story is never go solo and if you are going to send it be prepared with spare parts to fix your rig.

Half of me wants to trade it in and get a 4wd lol. but honestly I probably wont get to do much of this sort of stuff anyway so It's probably not worth the money right now.

Yes, don’t pretend 2wd is the same as 4x4.
