Yeah, those little brackets stopped even my spare from going up all the way (stopped about 3/4-1'' from where it was supposed to) but most guys with 33's said they just grind them off or use a BFH and get them out of the way, and it's still tight. But obviously, guys have fit them, so it's not impossible.

Hmm, yeah. I just really don't want to take up my bed space nor do I care for spare tire carriers in a bumper on a truck... I'll see if it fits next time I have some time to waste at the auto hobby shop.

Hey OP, how do you like your KM2s? They look good, I'm thinking of getting a set.

Thanks! I will put a post below that I posted a while ago in another thread talking about my KM2's.

Since that post, I have run them in a little bit of snow. (emphasis on little bit) They were ok but the ice really had them struggling. I have never experienced or thought they were going to hydroplane in rain however.

It really depends on if you want a smoother ride than what a M/T will offer you or if you want more capability for off road performance than what an A/T or aggressive A/T like the Duratrac or Cooper Discoverer STT Maxx can give you. My brother has Duratracs and he loves them. (and to be honest, I absolutely love the look of them and I have heard excellent reviews about them)

Removed all stickers from the truck today. I'm really preferring the cleaner look nowadays for some reason.

This includes my Sockmonkey TRD OR Bedside Decals, Sockmonkey TRD and V6 Tailgate Decals, and the DTOM and Blitzpro sticker on my rear window.

Your truck looks clean with all the stickers off! Thanks for the review on the KM2s. I definitely love the look, but I don't go mudding at all either; I'm thinking Duratrecs for my next set of tires. I really appreciate your insight.

Thanks, I think so too. For my next set of tires, if I go 285/75/16, I think I will go the Duratrac route also. I've heard very few negative reviews, and they seem to perform incredibly offroad and in the snow. I just wish they came in a 255/85/16 size, which will more likely be my next tire size.

Thanks Jovani! I would say it's in Stage 2 of 3  Stage 3 will come in maybe 2-3 years.

I like it because it's pretty slim (12'' +/- wide) but the locking mechanism is fairly cheap. But, after some quick PB blaster work, the key/lock work a lot better now. I had it Line-X'ed and am pretty happy with it now. The Line-X does make the passenger side corner of the door grab, so I have to walk around to the other side to open it after unlocking, but I don't really mind.

It was about $150 at Lowes, and about $30 for the Grip Rite system (eventually took out and swapped for some J-Hooks so it's easier to take in and out) and (2) Better Built Truck Box LED lights to go under the door. It was about $75 to Line-X also FYI.

Thanks for all the info...I did a quick search and found several Kobalt toolboxes, which one exactly do you have?

This is the one I have. I remember seeing a guy on here that found one that was already black but I think most are just aluminum.

Also, for the J-Hooks, I just grabbed some (I think) 1/4'' stainless steel J-Hooks from Home Depot, measured where the (2) holes in the toolbox were on each side in comparison to my bed rails, then drilled holes on the underside of the rails, hooked the J-Hooks in, and used a washer and nut on the bottom and top of the toolbox holes to tighten the toolbox down until it started to flex a little bit around the washers. Very sturdy and it doesn't move at all, but it is really easy to take out if I need to.

I could take pictures of what I did if you decide to go that route.

Thanks again...I've been looking for a toolbox for a while now. Wanted a small one since I have a short bed and I don't want the box to take over the whole bed. Silver, white, pink, black...it don't matter, I like what you did with the LineX. Gives it a better and rougher look.

EDIT: I will hit you back up when get it to see what you did.

Wow, thanks man, that means a lot!

P.S: I'm jealous of your sport hood...

Yep, that's exactly why I got this particular one. It didn't really take up much space in the bed, even though I don't haul stuff that often, and it's pretty nice now that I used some PB Blaster on the keyhole.

Feel free to PM or post in here once you get it, I'll be happy to take some pictures for you.

Installed Revotec eBay black taillights today.

I like them so far, but I bent the lower tab or something on the passenger side, so the bottom of the taillight sticks out about 1/8'' from the bedside, which really irritates me, but I even tried to put my OEM ones back in and they did the same thing, so I figured I might as well stick with the eBay ones now that I have them in

Thanks! I'm still slowing down a bunch on mods now, I just put a feeler for my OEM taillights and I had to jump on the opportunity to get the taillights I wanted.

Still waiting for you to get your lift and ARB...

Took my TRD 4.7" Antenna off and swapped it out with my trimmed (12") OEM antenna today. The TRD one had faded to the copper color that everyone talks about and I didn't really like the look anymore. I threw it under my rear seats for now in case I want to put it back but I'm sticking with the trimmed OEM one for now.
