Yamaha said only open recall was the handlebars and that got fixed at Loudoun before sale.

Bike threw 3 codes at dealer

    - Throttle servo motor malfunction
    - Engine stall detected
    - Front wheel sensor malfunction (ABS)

They have to call Yamaha on Monday and see what parts or process they need to follow to fix. Dealer said it is nothing I did or related to the turn signal install so should be warrantied. Will update on Monday or Tuesday.

Also...bought a new RF1200 because I found out I was actually one of those idiots with the wrong helmet size that I thought I wasn't. My old helmet is medium and it was nice and snug, was good for 45 min-1 hour or less of riding but my temples and jaw would get sore after that. When I was walking around the showroom while they were looking at the bike, I decided to ask the helmet guy if he had any recommendations for my head shape and he measured my head and told me I should actually be in a large...

So I got a solid white RF1200 for 20% off and will swap over my Sena, pin lock insert, and chrome visor, then turn helmet back into the dealer as part of the deal. I did want the white Terminus graphic but it's discontinued and they didn't have any left in stock. I am a neat freak so I do like the solid white and the fact it matches the bike.

Dealer is in contact with Yamaha, tech is scheduled to look at the bike again today. I'm really going through riding withdrawal over here o_O

I did order the correct R&G radiator guard (accidentally ordered the grey titanium one the first time) as well as the R&G pillion foot peg blanking plates since I plan to pull off the pillion pegs once I get the bike back.

Hopefully they have an updated status end of today or tomorrow...

Dealer completed work. Cleared codes and they didn't come back after test riding. I had to replace a blown fuse that was for the brake light when I was installing the turn signals, but I think I also blew the fuse for the turn signals themselves so dealer replaced that as well.

All of it is warrantied so no big deal, just the nuisance of not being able to ride for a while. Might be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Also ordered some new Alpinestars gloves. My Scorpion SGS's were starting to get in rough shape and to be honest I was tired of the High Viz. I'll keep them as backup gloves.

waiting sucks. I had to wait all day yesterday, today, and a couple hours tomorrow before I can go pick up something from Manassas.

Maybe with all your working, you can buy my exhaust :boink:

Nah, I went a little crazy lately with various things...my excuse is that I got my first paycheck after I got promoted and had to spoil myself a little :anonymous:

Won't be buying anything extra for a while

Hmm, give you brand new parts in exchange for an older version of a part I already have...

Had a little fun in A mode :drevil:

I'm over 700 miles now, just having fun with it. Only real mods left (way down the line) are an exhaust and possibly a little sleeker fender eliminator, but the stock fender is actually growing on me and I'm much more content just riding than trying to do mods.
