I am going to replace the charcoal canister on my 2002 Tacoma Reg Cab with 83000 miles , I have had a 441 - 446 code and have NC emissions test coming up. I was looking at my plan of attack before I get the time to install new one , and I am not sure how to remove the hose connection below with arrow .... I do not want to break it , and it needs to be able to be used on new canister. Is there a certain way to unclip it . it does not want to spin .....

    7. CHECK AIR INLET LINE
    (a) Disconnect the air inlet line hose from the charcoal canis-
    ter
    (b) Check that there is ventilation in the air inlet line.
    (c) Reconnect the air inlet line hose to the charcoal canister.
    8. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY
    (a) Remove the spare tire.
    (b) Disconnect the VSV connector.
    (c) Disconnect the purge line hose, EVAP line hose and air
inlet line hose from the charcoal canister.
    (d) Disconnect the vent line hose from the charcoal canister.
    (1) Push the connecter deep inside.
    (2) Pinch portion A.
    (3) Pull out the connector.
    (e) Remove the 4 bolts and charcoal canister assembly.
    (f) Remove the 2 bolts and charcoal canister bracket.

The Hose nubs top and bottom are portion a in step D2. Simply pinch the hose top and bottom and it should pull back. See the rectangle portion top and bottom with the protruding part, I think when you pinch the section between the rectangle part and the end of the clip it will release. I have a 442 code but damned i can track it down.
