Cannot charge phone anymore using USB or Cigarette Lighter

    That was my bad as I originally thought that the truck USB port was a charging port and made the assumption that the truck was not powering either the cigarette lighter nor the USB port. Once I tested the fuses as good and was informed that the USB port was data only then it had to be the USB adapter all along.

    Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
    I’m guessing that you have an iPhone. Recent updates added this feature and automatically enabled it. You can turn it off in the battery section in settings. It’s an environmental thing and GPS based.
