LOL Do you people not realize they do this to prevent idiots from locking themselves out of their cars?

EDIT: But yes. Women can take forever to get out of the vehicle sometimes.

That would make sense for when the keys are still inside the car, but in this case, they aren’t.

+1. I got a manual as well. Will do the same thing. I believe you can find this setting on your head unit. I can go in and change the tone volume and everything.

A passenger door touch sensor handle would be better than yelling at your wife. Pretty sure of that. Unless she's into that whole public humiliation thing. What's another $2 sensor and a wire?

I use the lock button on the door panel as I'm exiting.... Saves me the trouble of reaching into my pocket to hit the lock button on the remote.... Then I just walk away and when the Ole Lady finally gets her ass outta the truck and closes the door, it locks up nicely..!!

Works fer me...!! And the energy saved by NOT having to reach into my pocket adds up over time....!!:rofl:

I'm not sure, but I don't think I can lock the remote in the truck...I'll try that. If it's within the range, I don't think it will lock.

My key/remote never leaves my pocket unless locking/unlocking T/G..... Can't leave it in the truck that way..hehe

Yup. works the same for me....I just tested it out. Push button to turn off engine, open doors, before closing drivers door, push the lock button on the door, all doors lock, close driver door, then pass door....all doors locked. Now passenger can take sweet time getting out of the truck and it will be locked! learned something new today!

better yet, have her carry her own key and just say lock up the truck as you walk to the store. after having to pull her key out every time to lock it, she will rush to get out before you.......LOL :bananadance:

This is the next best option, yes. But I have the keyless entry on my door handle, which is what I’m used to using now. I guess I’ll have to get used to using the door locks on the inside even though that’s not nearly as fancy as the keyless entry feature.

I lock manually and use keyless on the outer handle when returning to the truck .. It works and silently arms your alarm. I have the premium tech package truck. I figure it still arms the alarm with the standard handle too. The inside button is not as fancy but faster and nobody cares about me getting out of my truck anyway.

Yeah, I've the keyless entry as well, but I find it easier and more convienent to hit the inside button and get out push door and leave....no need to stand there after it's closed to touch the handle..!!
