Cannot transfer iPhone pictures to pc

So using the photo app on my laptop, windows 11.

will not import photos from my personal phone

already selected trusted but the pc keeps saying sent a notification to my phone to allow access

weirdly enough my work phone imports fine

work phone is on 16.7
Personal on 17

any thoughts? Thanks

 

I had the same issue, iPhoneSE 2020 and Win 11. My workaround is a bit convoluted, but I got a lightning adapter to accommodate a mini or micro SD card. When it plugs in to the iPhone, photos can be loaded to the SD card via the “files” app. I take the SD card and plug it into a USB adaptor and copy the photos to the computer.

Do you have your iCloud settings arranged so that your images are stored there? If so point your web browser to the following URL and log in with your AppleID to have access to them.

email them to yourself? at least you can quickly reduce the image size that way.
