Sure. What's the worst that could happen?

Idk but I really don't want to put any scratches on the top part of the plastic tailgate.

It's stock except for the Trac Rac and DU seat covers _-:)
I'm pretty happy with the TracRac 37004 that I put on my truck. It fits the bed rails well and is extremely secure. My only gripe is that the screws they provide for the clamps are to bloody long and they are button heads. When I remove it this winter to put the tonneau on I'll install shorter SHCS...good quality though...
This is a 20 footer... it's nicely centered on the racks.. I had a 16 on it this week and it also fit nicely.IMG_20170707_112233997.jpg

It worked out really well until I moved to a roof rack and camper shell set up.

I bought a trailer for my old lancer. Put a ladder rack on it. Huge storage box. And rhino lined it. Trucks changed since then.

I have heavy metal bed bars but a lot of companies make the same bars. I went with 17 inch tall ones. I like that my boards and kayaks can sit as low as possible and not touch the roof of the truck. I also have a hitch bed extender for trips where I'm not using my truck bed for other gear.

I have a 17 footer and a 12 footer that I put on Amazon J bars attached to my Prinsu. I like that it leaves the bed free (I have a shell anyway) and the racks are attached with wingnuts, so I can remove them easily when other things (plywood, lumber, etc) need to go on the roof.

Can anyone recommend me some j-hook kayak carriers that will bolt to a standard round bed bar? 1.75" I believe. Most of the j carriers fit up to 1-1/8" which will be too small for standard 1.75" bed bars.

57DEF088-9001-4AAA-9345-AA18936745C5.jpg That’s how I haul my hobie revo 13. I also have one of the bed extenders for trips where i have good parking situation and I want to have the kayak fully rigged and ready to go. Having it on top allows me to have all my gear locked up inside the cap.
