Canopies that fit, but aren't Tacoma-specific?

I'd like to get a hard canopy for my truck, but I only intend to have it on the truck some of the time, so I'm not particularly interested in plunking down $1500+ on a new one; and used canopies don't pop up too often in my area.

With that said, has anyone found canopies made for other trucks (Frontiers, Rangers, S10s, etc.) that fit on Tacomas pretty well without looking too out of place?

plenty of members here have them and recommend them as well

The short answer is no

 

You're having trouble finding them because the people selling them don't need to advertise. They're that easy to sell, and it's pretty much a seller's market. I paid $450 for a white Raider topper for my MGM Taco. I rocked that combo for about a year, then met a guy with a white Taco and black LEER. His combo looked really good but I asked him if he would ever consider working out a deal, and he called me a couple months later. We traded straight across.

If you're gonna be cheap, you gotta be patient!

 

So your cap is from a non - Tacoma truck ?
