Canopy fit on tonneau equipped trucks

I am looking at picking up a canopy (topper) for my OR short bed. I’m wondering if the factory latch points for the Tonneau will interfere with the figment of the top.

Anyone have any experience with this? If there’s a fitment issue, what did you do about it? I would like to be able switch back & forth but don’t know if it’s going to work out that way. Thanks

 

I have a 2016 TRD OR Short bed (Double cab), that had the tonneau cover on it. I just happened to find a color matched SnugTop on craigslist and snagged it at the time. The guy had traded his truck in that was identical to mine, and kept the canopy to resell.

He helped me put it on, and we had to remove those latch pieces off the side rails, and the brace off the middle of the back rail (by the cab) in order for the canopy to fit snug on the rails. Once those are out of the way, it fits perfect. It's only 2 bolts per latch point.
