Can't access front U joint zerk

No matter how i try i cant get grease gun coupler (s) onto zerk do to clearance issue. Is a needle adapter directly into zerk an option ? Seems if the zerk was turned to the side more there would be enough room. Any ideas ?

 

Its a little tight but it can be done. Try loosing up the grease gun fitting (unscrew a turn or two), put it on the zerk, then tighten it up once its on the zerk. Loosen up on the fitting to get it off.

 

yes tried that, the coupler goes in on too much of angle to tighten down enough. coupler hits u joint, i am trying to locate a smaller diameter coupler if possible..

 

I had no problems doing mine the other day, just pick a different angle and have at it

 

This is what you need for the first 2 zerks. You can force it on because it is ridged. You can use the gun with the hose that you already have for the other zerks or just use the 3 oz gun for all your choice.

thanks i got it. i got a new coupler and worked,,

 

Once you figure out the process it not bad at all.
But figuring it out the first time is a PITA.
Pretty sure the neighbors learned some new words my first go around.
