There's no need for name calling or insulting behavior. if you think he's a spoiled brat then thats fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but there is no need to insult a new member publically

You have a brand new truck. Selling it now would cost your Parents even more money from the lost value, especially on a trade. Double Cabs have higher re-sale value. Plus having a usable backseat is something you are going to miss. I hate asking people to ride in the backseat of my access cab.

I'd keep it and thank your parents for buying you a brand new $30K truck.

This is a very good point. I wanted an access cab but I have a 3 year old and a newborn and the AC doesn't do car seats well, but i really don't regret getting a DC. My wife drives an FJ and getting stuff out of the back seats is a pain with the suicide doors in a parking lot.

thanks for those of you with some actual advice

some of you guys have a problem with it when my parents don't at all, I've gotten all this scorn from you guys and none from my parents, so I don't care what you guys don't like because it doesn't effect me or my situation

but anyway I havent disowned the truck and maybe my graduation money can get me some new rims/tires and maybe that will solve my problem with the look of the truck

Good call, jc. My parents bought my first 3 cars, and I'm not ashamed. Some people have kick-ass parents who choose to do that for their kids.

And don't let the words of a few sway your opinion of us as a whole. Generally, we are a friendly bunch.

I was the same as you...when i went and bought my first taco (02) i was dead set on getting the AC since it looked the nicest, i thought the DC looked so ugly...but at the time they had DC leftover that they sold me real cheap, so i took it...after a few weeks of having it, the DC was the best decision i could have ever made...in fact when i got my 06, the DC was the only thing i wanted...well that and a silver sport model:rolleyes:

I'd say trade it for an AC. For a single guy in college, the AC is perfect. Plus, the AC will limit you to the size of girl allowed in your truck... NFC !

The access cab will limit the action in the truck. Look for the post about the sliders saving a guy's truck and tell me it does not look good.

When you need to haul around 4 or 5 people you'll be glad you have the DC.

Sell or trade it,the db cab looks like a family car you're young and the ac cab is for young people the look is so sweet and the rear dual doors are functional, the back is more spacious than dakota
