Four adults are really tight especially if the people in the front seat are taller then 5’3”. Gas mileage is whatever cause it’s a truck and different driving styles will very. I would look into the F150 eco boost.

I drive 250-ish during my weekend. I think I average about 17.5 mpg at 65mph.

I’ve read from several here who love their double cab over time. I ended up with the limo long bed double cab. Also have read that people love those over time. I didn’t have a lot of say and had minimal input since I got this mine as a gift, but I love my double cab long bed. I can’t comment on price but the truck itself seems nice.

I think for around town or trips shorter than an hour the back seat is fine for average adult.

Honestly if I didn’t get the double cab quicksand, I would have wanted the access cab in black.

If you’re a fan of Tacomas and you find one you can work with at a price you like and can afford, you will probably be happy.

if you get a black truck i hope you have a garage for it.
it will get dusty 15 minutes after you wax it. you will see finger prints on the paint.
it is a solar heater and will steam the water off the paint when it drizzles.
you will see swirl marks in the paint. you will see body imperfections
on it easily when the light is reflected off it.
other than that, it is the best looking when clean.
my first truck was black, my next 3 trucks were white.

Personally, if I were dealing directly with the dealer on pricing for this particular truck, I'd offer $31,000 to start with and not pay over $32,300. They are advertising it as "used" and you should treat it that way. If they don't want to make the deal, I'd walk away. You may want to check the VIN on Car Fax to see the vehicle history.

You would most likely find just as good a deal pricing wise by using sites like True Car and have dealers bid for your business. GL

I do not think the price is terrible as a OR, AT w/ that premium and tech stuff. I would try to get to 31,500, but I do not think these folks will budge much - a butt for every seat. Get carfacts!!

Can definitely get a brand new 2018 with less than 10 miles for cheaper. More room for negotiation on new trucks rather pre-owned.

I have that exact same truck (except for the roof rack) in MGM and I paid 36,579 in 2017. MSRP was a touch over $40,000. Since that is used I would think at least another $1500-$2000 off would be a better deal for you. Living in Kentucky you probably have similar terrain as I do in WV and I average around 18-19 mpg but I do run 70+ on the interstate. When I run the back roads cruising at 55 I get between 20 and 23 mpg.

Totally agree with you on all the characteristics of black paint. It used to drive me nuts after I bought my black 4Runner.

After a while, I credited black paint with curing me of my OCD with my vehicles...I really don't care about how clean it looks anymore. It's actually quite nice not worrying about it.

I don't think the price is good, but I'm not really looking for "premium" stuff. I'd rather buy a new one with less options.

MPGs really depend on how you drive. I think @60mph 21mpgs should be easy to get, but you have to take it easy on acceleration. You might even get more if you're trying.

I do alot of stop and go and get about 18mpg.

Back seat is ok. Full size is way the hell better. Plenty of room in the new full size trucks.

I'd buy a new one, but that's just me.

Also a side note, the sales person taking those pictures must not know how to focus a camera o_O

100% stock, I average 23-24MPG on the freeway, if I stay at a steady 65mph. I'm not hypermiling, drafting, etc. Just steady pace.

Rear seats are my #1 complaint. Not big at all. If you need to haul 2 adults over 5.5' back there on a regular basis, look at something else. Do you even need a truck? If not, an SUV/CUV would do fine. Even a Subaru has much bigger rear seats than the Tacoma and gets 70+% better MPG.

Full disclosure OP, I'd much rather road trip in the back of a Tundra than a Tacoma. City trips are no big deal, but the comfort factor of a full size truck is hard to beat.

I get about 20 mpg on average, I'd say.

I only drive a few miles to work and back. On the way to work, I'm driving downhill a lot of the way, and I normally get about 24-25 mpg. On the way back, I go up that same hill, and my mpg drops to around 16-17.

Tacomas (and trucks in general, really) are not great vehicles if you're looking for fuel economy. They occupy a lot of square footage compared to cars, they are heavy, and are just not that aerodynamic.

Like it's been stated before..that back seat is not made for adults for the long hall..definitely not comfortable. Full size truck would be the way to go there.

As far as the price, that does seem a tad bit too high. A new 2018 over by me starts about $33 give or take, depending on trim. Offer what you feel it's worth, and if they don't take it..get ta steppin and find a dealership that will. The biggest thing I've learned when it comes to the big buys is be patient..due diligence. The right one will come along.

Just got my Tacoma a few weeks ago. Filled up twice since I've had it. I'm averaging around 22-23 mpg.

A dealer by me had a 2016 black when I was looking. It was priced pretty well but I have a black Audi right now and its THE worst to keep clean.

I have no idea why owners complain about back seat room. I'm 5'8" and weight 170lbs and have no issue with the back seat. Yes if your over 6' tall and 200lbs then yes it would be uncomfortable but I have been in the back of my truck for a couple of hours and was fine. To the OP, go down to the dealer with three of your friends and try it out for size.
