I'm fixing to redo my front end with 887s and 5100s. Im also going to get new UCA's. The problem is there are so many UCA's and they all have mixed reviews. I'm about to go with SPC, but thought I would ask before hand. I have a spacer lift and bump steer like crazy right now, so just looking for the best ride. Thanks in advance!

UCAs won't really change ride quality, it'll just help correct your alignment once you lift over a certain amount. Pick ones that will be easy for maintenance for yourself. Can't go wrong with Total Chaos. I personally have Icon billets but that's a little overkill for your setup.

Are you sticking with the Ball joint or are you looking to go with a Uniball set up?

Thanks guys the JBA look nice and great for the money. I just wonder if the adjustable SPC's make much difference when comparing the two. It honestly looks like someting else to mess up to me.

By all means correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that because of alignment that's causing that? Dont want to give the OP impression that each aftermarket UCA performs differently in ride since it doesn't and it's all about the maintenance on each and looks.

So the JBA should give me the numbers I need with 887's? I see everyone on here going with them. I just want to do it right the first time around. I hate driving my truck right now and need that to go away. :bananadead:

Thanks for the info I might go down the JBA path then.
Where is the best place to get JBA?

Go on the JBA thread and checkout how it'll work on yours. I think wheel backspacing was a concern for some people since it rubbed on the tires but that's just because of their choice of wheels/tires. Compare and see if you'll have any issues. Not 100% sure but I want to say it's 4.5" backspacing.

Mine rides so rough right now. I took it to a mechanic and he said everything looked fine but he couldn't get the driver side aligned to spec and it pulls to the left with tire wear starting to show wearing on the outside of the tires. Along with the bad bump steer. Hope this will fix the problem.:fingerscrossed:

JBA's for the win. I have OME 887's on Bilstein 5100's up front. Had Camburg Ball Joint UCA's and with zero wheeling the Ball Joint boots blew. Should em out the JBA's on got 3.7 Caster 0 Camber and 0.5 positive Toe. Tracks like a dream and I couldn't be happier.

When aligned should I ask them to get as much caster as they can or what? I'm new to this.

Your not gonna go wrong with SPC's or JBA's.....like all things on this site everyone has been sweating JBA's lately, before that it was SPC's.
