I have been researching dumped exhaust's, and I really like the clean look of no ugly tail pipe, But I dont want to have anymore drone in the cab...

I was going to get a nice tip put on, But I really dont like the look of exhaust tips.

So now my question is, If I do chop my tail pipe, will it cause more drone?
Im thinking about cutting it after the axle and at an angle to sortta face to the rear and down... If that makes sense...

    crap bolted and welded together....
drone would kinda depend on muffler choice. But...if you cut it and down fire it to the ground you will get a little more noise vs. having it pointed out the side of the truck.

Im running a WF muffler with it dumped down after the axle, even with that muffler at 2k RPM no drone. Hope that helps...

Cool! I think Im just ganna chop it and try to make it not point directly at the ground.
Oh, and I have a Borla muffler, and there's not much drone at all. Only at low gears and above 2k.

Just chopped my exhaust after the muffler, at a angle to where its pointing back at at an angle. Sortta torwards the leafs and away from the spare...

The sound actually got quieter in the cab! no more drone, I actually can barely hear the exhaust now! Its awsome!
But outside the truck, it sounds alot deeper and meaner! So glad I descided to do this!
It also makes the rear of the truck look cleaner, no ugly tail pipe.... :)
