this type of thread has been around before, but my situation is different. I have the 2022 2.7L sr base model with the SR5 upgrade but still an SR. no frills and does its job quite nicely. I just bought a 2024 camper I want to pull behind it that ways 2200 lbs. still very capable of doing so but stopping with that extra weight on a hill was scarry. so some mods added a trany cooler. added the hitch of course and this model does not have a factory wiring for towing so added an aftermarket wire module for trailer lights. now I'm adding the aftermarket Curt brake controller in the center consul ran all the wires from the 7 pin to the cab but the last wire that is eluding me is the brake switch to the controller. there are 4 wires coming out of the switch but none of them react like ford or chevy and turn on the checker light when the pedal is pushed.

so can anyone tell me which wire I need to run to the red wire on the brake controller I have never had this much problem installing a brake controller on any other vehicle before

I believe the OP is saying he does not have any functions/features of the "Toyota Towing Package" as his truck is a low trim level. He has added items and is stuck on the last one - the Brake function to drive his Brake Controller.
OP here is a schematic of what Toyota does:
It seems you already have wired in the 7-wire trailer plug (T12) and now need to emulate the Trailer Brake Control connector (T7).

I've downloaded the schematic you posted, and I am trying to figure out what to do next. Can someone help?

    Don't know about help:

What have you done with the RED wire on the Brake controller and what is its function? A schematic of the controller would help. What is a "checker light"?
