Neighbor has one. Notice some similarities.

    Oh look, another mod....
I see no similarities. The one on the left sells for over MSRP and will last for 200K miles. The one on the right gets a $7k dealer discount and will be worthless after 70K miles.

Why not compare a First Gen Taco to the Dodge?
Let's start with how many of each that you see today on the roads or trails that are still in decent shape?
I'm pretty certain that the Yota wins that one, hands down!

It’s funny seeing this since a good buddy of mine has a Dodge and he loves it. Maybe he got a good build? I certainly love the looks of it.

That's one of the reasons of Mitsubishi and Isuzu's demise: Badging their brand on crappy Dodge (Raider) and GM (Ascender) vehicles.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.

It’s funny how accurate the 60-70K mile comments are about the Dodges.

I bought a 2013 Ram new and by 60K miles it was an absolute piece of garbage. I maintained it meticulously but that didn’t seem to matter.

My wife briefly had a Dakota after college. Not her choice to buy it (her dad's). It was ugly and had 100k miles on it, fortunately they had bought an extended warranty on it as the transmission months later went out. As soon as we were married I traded it. It did have bench seat which was fun to have her sit in the center. :D

Toyota made bench seats... my bench seat is just a little older than the Tacoma. 1992. And the plus side is it's a cozy bench seat... and a manual.

I've said this for a while and was scoffed at on here for it. I think the Tacoma did it better though.

I think the Dodge power trains are actually fairly reliable, especially the 5.2 magnums of that era.
