Do you know if a fix has been found? I can respond to my texts using SIRI but not the entune voice activation. It tells me my IPhone 6 is not a compatable phone.

This is normal behavior. Entune does not support any SENDING/RESPONDING of TEXTS via its own voice activation using an iPhone.
You need to use SIRI. Its lame. I've been an iPhone guy for a long time and have purchased new cars in 2013/2014/2016 and none of them play nice
with apple. They were all from different auto makers too. I finally gave up with all of these incompatibilities and got myself a Samsung S7 active from AT&T
and it works. It works so well its not even funny.
Texting and even emails are displayed and you can respond/reply to/from anything.

Everything works as it should with Android.....I keep wondering if/when car companies will really embrace Apple.

It's the other way around. Apple does not play well with others.

    None.
If I can ask, how did you get your iPhone to display messages? I have a 5S and I only have music and calls.

    Thanks

On your iPhone, go to Settings --> Bluetooth

With Bluetooth turned on, hit the circled "i" on the Toyota connection and then activate Show Notifications. Then in Entune go through the phone settings and you can activate the message feature.

    None.
Thanks. I already did that. Further in my search I found a couple posts that suggest deleting the truck off my phone and phone off my truck, then re-pairing the two. I'll try in the morning.

There is a thread somewhere on here about this and helped me resolve this problem. Entune has a glitch so the fix I found that works well for iPhone has to do with choosing the three screen setup for home display. There is option to have four favorites programmed for quick dial. The solution is do not set up the favorites use clock or one of the other options and it should work. However as mentioned before you cannot dictate back unless you use the Siri function located on steering wheel

Car companies have been embracing Apple….it's called CarPlay. Toyota is just slow to the game.
