I removed the rear axle to have the bearing replaced and now I can't get it back in. It sticks out about the same depth as the spline. Not sure how much force to use. I was planning to do one side at a time, so the other side is still in.

Should slide right in the splines. Assuming the bearing and all was replaced and reassembled correctly.

turn the wheel some to align the splines. you make also need to align the end to get it perfect. just keep wobbling the end around.

carefully jiggle and angle it around, being mindful of the seals. The splines are probably not matching up quite right, orientation wise.

So to recap, just jiggle the end and it'll eventually slide right in :)

Yeah sometimes you have to lift the splined side up a little to get it started.Usually some manipulation on the side you can grab will get it in.Keep a little pressure on it and push the bottom in and pull the top out a little. That will lift the splines up enough to get in the bore. Then a few turns with a little pressure and the splines will go right in.Watch your fingers.
