I had some kids vandalize my truck. They ripped one of the side windows off the hinges and chunked it in the yard. The glass somehow didn't break. Found the window the next day. I'm standing in my yard 50 ft away from my old truck and I smell the musty smell and to my amazement I discovered that it was the tint that stunk, not the seats, not the carpet, not the headliner.... and to answer your question ...nope no licking.

I know this is a dead thread but in case anyone was wondering, the guy who owned the truck before me must have not used floor matts and gotten in with swamp feet on a daily basis. I pulled the carpet up and the padding that is under the driver side carpet was full of mold. I ended up replacing all the carpet in the truck to get rid of the smell and its good as new[IMG]

Hang a rope of garlic cloves from the rear view mirror......looks cool, keeps mosquitoes and vampires away and will make your truck smell sweet!!!

Well you'll have to access the coil, not sure how to remove the shrouding around it (plastic) never had to but it can't be that hard. After you do you need a semi stiff old toothbrush ,some compressed air & a wet/dry vac. use the brush for brushing the aluminum fins on coil, be careful they're fragile don't want to smash them thus killing air flow & brush in one direction, with the compressed air blow from the inside of coil to the outside of same, use the vac wherever you can to suck up the fuzz, lint, old fries ,etc; & let everything air out for awhile...
