I have a 07 tacoma x runner. How do I get the horn to stop honking when unlocking/locking the doors? It will honk twice when unlocking, and honk once while locking.

I've tried the sequence of opening the door, key in ignition, removing key from ignition, reinserting key in ignition, turning key to on, wait ten seconds, then hit the lock or unlock button twice.

sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm. Is there a blinking light / button under the steering column by your knees?

I don't see any red blinking lights. I'll try unplugging it tomorrow.

It looks like the red light between the fog light switch and the power inverter switch. That is probably the aftermarket security LED.

Then find the 'brain' may have dip switches. Get the manu number off of it and get the docs. May have to lookup and call alarm manu.

Installers are lazy look for a box around steering column under the dash, fuse box under the dash or firewall by pedals.
