I ordered a set of D-rings to install on the front bed bolts of my 09 but the vendor, who happened to be a Toyota dealer, initially said they were backordered, then a couple weeks later canceled the order saying they couldn't get any more from Toyota at all. Does anyone know of a vendor that has them in stock? Otherwise I guess I will have to go to Home Despot and get some generic SS ones.

I went with those, REALLY great rings and install was a snap, maybe 3 mins per ring, I installed 4

    Tools I used were:

To remove and install the bed bolts
    18v Dewalt Impact Driver
    Socket adapter
    T55 Torx Socket
To remove, cut, and refinish the washers:
    18v Dewalt Reciprocating saw
    Vise Grips
    File
    Flat Black spraypaint
To make the D-rings fit the bed bolts:
    18v Dewalt Drill
    Greenlee Unibit

Every tool except the paint was already in my truck for work though hehe

Excellent idea to go ahead and install all 4 on the available bed bolts. I have everything except the unibit, but I'm sure I can find a regular bit around here to do the deed. I ordered a set of the rings before this thread and a similar one on TN create a shortage and backorder situation at the army surplus!

I'm glad I found this thread. That is exactly what I want to do on my bed bots. Just 1 question...when you fold the rings over the bolt, do they stick up higher than the bold head? I don't want to slide something in and have it get caught up.

    thanks

Thanks for the help. I ordered some rings. The existing washers look like a pain to remove, but I'm sure I can get em off.

    Thanks

The D-rings you can buy a military surplus stores are another great option. I bought 6 of them for a trailer.
