    this is one of the things that sold me on my truck, i always heard how durable they are, and how great they are stock off road, but watching this on one of my favorite shows did it. there's 3 videos, and yes, in the end, they did mount it on a pedestal and it's still there today!

    Thats just insane that it survived the building demolition. I have a 1980 toyota (gasoline) that has survived some crazy stuff but nothing that extreme!!!

    I hope the same quality from the 80's is still present today. Somehow I doubt it :(.

    If it was on the bottom it wouldn't have survived. Because it was on the top, I think that helped a whole hell of a lot since nothing fell on top of the thing. Still impressive though!

    I wounder what exactly they had to do after all the salt water flooded the engine.. I am sure they must of had to replace the fluids too, no?

    They said they just reconnected the battery and added some petrol!

    Agreed that if it was on the bottom it would be crushed, however, it still got beat up pretty bad.

    vehicles today are made to crumble and take the impact of a crash to save the passengers rather than make the cars indestructible

    :rofl: I was kinda thinking the same thing.... :anonymous:

    Toyota = uber mega awesome
    A car that can be doused in salt water and still turns over much less runs and drives away is...well, just spectacular.

    In video 1 Jeremy has a line "it has damaged my spine quite badly, doing this" and it always cracks me up!
