Can't Reach The Pedals!

Hi gents, and ladies....... I'm reaching out because I want to know if anyone has modded their seat mounting rack or pedals to accommodate a really short driver. My girlfriend is about 5'-1" and I'm teaching her to drive my manual 2000 tacoma, and she's having a hard time pushing the clutch pedal all the way in to shift. We're out of adjustment in the seat so I'm looking for options. Would be nice if she could share the driving on road trips

 

my aunt is 4'10" . in every car she has had to sit on a pillow and have 2 behind her. they also have blocks that go over the petals but i don't know how easy they are to take on and off

you shouldn't let a woman drive your truck anyway.

its a sign the truck doesn't want her behind the wheel

but good on ya for making her learn stick! more females need to know how a real vehicle is driven.

 

you could modify the seat to sit a little more forward. but in the end it wouldnt be able to slide back as far. unless you got a whole new sliding rail system from a seat that has more slide to it. in the end no body wins.

 

X2 on the pillows....my filipino mother has to drive with them in her car she says its more comfortable anyways...

 

Thanks for all of the input and the link to the extensions. Will probably try the pillows first, if she wants the extensions we will likely need to get a truck for her, I don't want to take them on and off all the time.

How about a second set of steering wheel and controls on the passenger side?

tie a wooden block to her feet. tell her they are flat heels and she can also use them in the kitchen.
