They don't give tickets out for parking lot accidents in most states.

Paint is gone in certain areas, no buff job will fix that. Possibly clips are broken too.

It’s kind of hilarious in my opinion. All you guys that have to park away from everyone else are always the ones that get hit in parking lots lol.

Not to be rude OP. That sucks.

When you park far away, people just assume they have all the space they need to drive without looking. This is why they get hit, I park far away, but usually I park in a corner near a tree or large rock.

Just an excuse to replace it with a real bumper.

I need an excuse. Have that kid stop by my place and accidentally hit my bumper.

Unfortunately this is part of vehicle ownership. Very common and unavoidable (on your part). Prepare yourself because it'll probably happen a few more times in your life.

Time to find a new body shop if they are doing that.

Sucks about the damage but absolute kudos to the kid for doing the right thing. As mentioned above, it is so rare for a kid of around that age to do the right thing when no one is looking.

Agreed, though he could have also been smart enough to realize that a gym parking lot likely has cameras everywhere and he was in his mother's car...hit and run with mom's vehicle...talk about getting grounded

Whatever the case most 18 year old kids here in CA probably would have fled the scene without thinking that far ahead, so kudos to him for doing the right thing regardless of why he was motivated to do it.

That blows. Kudos to the 18 year old for doing the right thing.

This never happens to me, and I have to pick up the bill.
