    how do in-channel work? is there plastic touching the glass or is it sandwiched between the seal and the door?

    My AVS has an adhesive strip that faces out. It's positioned in the window channel groove and adhered to the weatherstripping (I think...maybe not) on the outer edge of the door. The window does come in contact with the plastic on the very top edge of the window. About 3/8" if I had to guess.

    Stickers and not enough wax
    Instead of being glued to the outside of the window, they attach to the steel inside the window channel. They come with alcohol cleaning pads for you to REALLY CLEAN THE CRAP out of the channels to make sure that painted area is clean. You then drop the windows, peel a corner of adhesive protective tape, place the visor in position, and carefully peel the protective tape off. Once in position you roll the windows up.

    Once you do the first, the others go FAST.
