    I only do hamburger (cuz we don't buy burger so I use it in chili and soups and tacos and well you know, everything that u use burger in.) but I feel there is a major lack of jokes about you taking sausage in here

    That's how we do it also, quartered & let it sit on ice in the cooler for a few days with the plug open before taking it to the processor. Backstraps & loins go straight to the freezer, at least one backstrap gets cooked right away though. Haha

    I'm having some back strap steaks tonight, ill be sure and post some pics here. I don't know many people that butcher back straps like me, but I got tired of eating em with my fingers cut in little medallions, so I cut pretty healthy steaks out of em :drool:

    Nice! When I get a fresh backstrap I'm gonna butterfly filet it pack it with cream cheese & jalapeños & wrap it with bacon. Saw a pic of that & it looked so delicious. I already love jalapeños packed with cream cheese wrapped with bacon & I love deer meat so I just seems natural to combine them. Haha

    @ChadsPride did you see that monstrosity 2016 in the Super White thread? Chrome wheels with rubber band knobby tires? WITAF lol

    FYI: I got my loins cut into small strips about 2 x 2 x 8" (they were supposed to be left whole) but I've wrapped them in bacon with rosemary, salt, and pepper. Wrap in foil with butter, put on hot camp fire coals for about 15 minutes, turning once. DELICIOUS! Foodgasm in your mouth
