I just had a scorpion on my wrist for a split second.

 

But then it realized it was on a shitposter and fled for its sanity less it get memed.

 

I used to get stung once a month when I lived in the country. It’s been over five years since my last pop. It knew if it stung me I’d wage a holy war and kill em’ all.

 

I’m getting pricing on having my attic insulation sucked out.

Get it sprayed for scorpions, then have it properly insulated.

 

Spray foam it. It also helps keep the bugs out. Only downside is that the HVAC system needs to stay on and circulating air to keep things from getting "ripe." It does okay, and our A/C bills aren't unreasonable.

 

I want to make the attic part of the building envelope, so I’m thinking about adding some framing to the trusses at the roof and insulating the roof deck.

 

That will better insulate you. Put that shiny crap up first (you probably know its real name) then foam the fuck out of it.

Getting foam inside walls that didn't have it from the beginning is a little harder (especially on the drywall). We're brick and 6" walls, and that makes a nice barrier with a high R-value.
