I actually had a key freeze in a lock this Mornin just from moisture on my fingers. Had to get the Lock guy to get it out.
Why are all those guys named Mr. Smyth?

Ours tend to J names. Julio, Jesus, Juan, Javier, Jaime, and such.

They know where all the good food trucks are.

 

Used to have at least 3 come on site. These days we’re lucky to get one. Can barely see the proprietor through the Stupid plexiglass.

We run water so the Sewer don’t freeze. Other parts of the city heat ‘em by the pumping stations.

 

We build overpasses 100’ in the air, then put sand on them when we get freezing rain.

*I guess they are also putting down a brine solution.

 

Then in spring the tenders go out for a New Overpass bc the rebar is gone.
