    debating academic standards as it relates to universities and the NCAA is impossible. on paper, it all works. behind the scenes...there's a lot of fudging going on and it all comes down to money. UT will drop $50k on a star ball player for a year and ignore lots of academic questions, because they'll still make money off of him 10yrs later. See Kevin Durant. I don't think any of us can even fathom the amount of the money the Vince Young and Co. still bring in. These players were gods on campus. Professors can puff out their chests all they want, but when push comes to shove, they're the low man.
