So today I'm fucking around at work and I was lingering around one of the dudes I work with and jokingly I asked him "on a scale of one to ten, how suicidal are you today?" And he said with such affliction "I'm ready to die." And we laugh and we laugh.

Then he follows me and through laughter he's like "you will never know how spot on you are today." And we laughed some more.

And I kept laughing but I think he might be serious...

I know. I think I might be taking this "murder suicide joking" a little too far...

He's a good kid too. Whenever he's doing an awesome job I always heavily praise him and make sure the big bosses can hear. It's all crazy though.

I worked with a guy who went to lunch one day and he drove to a conservation area instead and killed himself. When he left work he seemed fine.

    That's really sad.

One of my aunts (not really my aunt, my great uncles wife's daughter) kissed her husband good bye before she went out to get groceries, came back to the aftermath of a gunshot to the face. She never remarried. I can't even imagine how crazy that must be.

If only depression could be detected and treated easier. It's all really tragic.
