Get em, Bill! You know my Libertarian/Conservative self is on your side here.

But for real fellas, let's move on and not get each other heated up over worthless drug addicts that somehow turned into a poli sparring match.

Yup. See it all the time. Rep comes to the office and brings a huge nice lunch for everyone. Brings them all kinds of shit to get the Dr's to write their Med instead of another companies. There is a huge amount of Dr's out there that don't treat the problem just the solution they want. They know if they write regulated meds then they will come back for a refill and they get paid again from insurance for a office visit. Docs will write the rx the reps want to get more kick backs like lunch and shit for the employees. Patients will use multiple docs to get more meds. They run out of docs they go to doc in a boxes and get it. Someone is always willing to hand the shit right out. Had a doc here locally charging seekers for OxyContin rx's. Part of the problem is how easy it is to get it. Got pain? Oh here's some oxy, hydrocodone etc. if you need any more come back and see me. They will hand that shit right out.

Personally, I blame the entire system, top to bottom. It's all about profit and no consequences for anyone, just pump more money and more money into what amounts to a criminal activity. ANYONE who contributes to the problem needs to be held accountable. First step is STOPPING the problem. You plug the leak in the boat before you start to bail water.

I went through medic school when it had just switched over to national registry. All they preach is pain management. Well I went through the old school training prior to that and know that the first thing on that ambulance that will cost you your license is located in that orange drug box. I'm not one to give pain meds unless it is absolutely necessary. Ie old lady broke her arm and says it hurts. You know it fucking hurts. Older people have some of the highest pain tolerance of anyone. 20 y/o break their arm? You're going to feel that shit so your not a fucking idiot again doing that. I've never been one to hand out pain meds and not going to start now. You can call me mean and a selfish asshole all you want. I've seen too many fucks that are seeking call us trying to get the shit. Fuck em.

    K. I guess you spent years of your life studying these things, attending lectures and seminars and court cases, talking to judges, lawyers, police officers, wardens, special agents...

"Studying" does not always mean LEARNING...

And WHO you study under and what their agenda reflects effects WHAT you perceive as "fact".

Any attempt to tell me drug use and drug ABUSE is not on a rampant upswing is pure nonsense.

No apology on my part for simply looking at reality. I have no agenda.

Drug use basically remains at a constant 10-12% of any given population worldwide since we started studying it, no matter how much we fight it or don't. You're just spreading rumours a this point.
