San Marcos. There's a kayak race we are going to watch and are going to camp with some of the family.

Well, it's on the San Marcos river not sure how far from San Marcos it is. Town is Fentress I believe that we will be staying in.

 

Yupp you're about a 30 minute drive from my house in Seguin

 

Depending on what's going on we may have to bug you!

 

As long as its on the weekend I'll be teaching in Austin that week.

 

There's also a really good restaurant down the street from my house that we all could go eat at.

Does anyone know how much a passport costs? My parents have a hunting lodge just across the Mexican border from Acuna and they said we need passports.

 

I think like $150. My work wants me to get one too so I can travel to other countries to teach and I keep putting it off

 

If you ever fly I would get TSA PreCheck for domestic and the equivalent for international travel. Saves you a huge amount of time from waiting at security.

 

I was wondering if they are all the same or if overseas costs more

 

We would just be driving down there. Guess i could just swim the river. Seems to work for the majority of "Texans".

 

No its all the same. You can get it expedited in Houston and it takes like 1-3 days I think but you have to wait in the Passport office otherwise takes a couple weeks

 

Probably for the best. Dont want to scar you just yet
