NY was awesome other than I got sick and spent half the trip nursing a fever. :(

And then the Northwest Overland Rally was amazing! So much to see and I wanted to spend my money on literally everything. Came away without spending a dime, though. Met lots of awesome people and learned a ton. Sunburnt the crap outta myself. Totally worth it!

And I missed you guys, too!!

That always ruins a vacation, sorry to hear that. But the overland rally sounds like fun! I've seen pics from some of those before and my god

That looks like such a blast! How was it sleeping in the bed of your truck? At some point I might get a shell or softtopper for camping purposes

It was surprisingly comfortable! I bought a MegaMat, which is insanely cushy and nice. Laid that down, threw a wool blanket over it to give me some more warmth, crawled into my sleeping bag, and threw a few blankets on top. I was out like a light. It was really cozy. Still would've been room for another person if necessary.

The biggest pain in the ass was moving things from the bed of the truck to the backseat to give me sleeping room. This is why I'll do a sleeping platform / drawer system later this summer hopefully. Still have storage, but can still sleep in a convenient spot. The only downside to this will be the fact that I won't be able to sit up entirely with a sleeping platform like I can currently.

What about a half and half or 3 quarters so you can still sit up?
