It's chicken tenders, gravy, fries and a roll with a drink. That's what I always get. Hard to beat.

So my new brakes and tires worked. There was an accident right in front of me this morning, I had to emergency stop. I went from 50 to zero on a dime, the brand new BMW behind me, lane changing asshole, did not. He also took off with his fucked up front end.

Cobra 19 ultra iii, the antenna kit here: ebay , and a tail light/tailgate mount bracket from a vendor here. I then ran a ground from the bracket itself to the frame of the truck. I cut a small hole in the side rail cap, dropped down the bedside to the frame. Coax for the antenna runs along the underside of the bed rail, attached with black zip ties, drops over the edge of the bed/cab, fun along top of the frame rail, then into a wiring grommet under the driver's seat.
There's EXACTLY enough coax in the 18' cable to run this same path with minimal slack and minimal tension.
I had an older 12v adapter plug thing with 2 USB and 1 12v socket laying around. I took it apart, salvaged the male plug, opened it up and soldered my radio power/ground wires to that. They're only about 5' long, so I wasn't gonna run a direct line to battery and this gives me the ability to remove the radio from the truck entirely. The radio is velcroed to left side of the console at my feet, closer to the seat and below the plastic center molding.

This can all be done in an afternoon with 6 beers.

I'm gonna start a $10/week fund for this. If I keep wheeling, I'm gonna need a new one soon.

I've found the cutoff wheel works better, but I still use the hammer as well

That's just how the floor is, tiny specs. It makes for easy clean up, don't have to worry about oil spills

Seems fair, lane splitting is legal for 2 wheelers in the regular lanes, might as well allow everyone else in the 2-wheelers lane. :stirthepot:

Thank you!! I'll order that antenna next! Would it be a bad idea to make a harness for the cb and run it under the hood with an inline fuse or add a circuit to fuse box? Eventually I'm going to do an aux fuse panel under there for everything
