    It started wobbling at 70 mph, 4 miles later I put it in reverse to park at my job site and the wheel went sideways in the tire well. I'm lucky it didn't come off on the highway.

    Similar thing happen to me. Only my ball joint didn't fail. One of the bolts that secures the lower BJ to the spindle fell out. Got home no problemo, went to leave about 30 minutes later and the wheel turned sideways the second I went to reverse out. Found the bolt at the beginning of my road where I turn. Scary stuff

    I had a 1st gen come in a year ago, his upper balljoint let go while he was going down the highway. Had to replace all components on the passenger side. Then as precaution did both driver side balljoints as they were the same age as the ones that let go. And he needed a new tire and wheel.
