A few weeks back, when I was binge-modding my truck, I got to the rear bumper. For some reason, I dreaded that job. It took everything I had in me to light into that job. I got up early one Saturday and got started. Figured it to be an all day job.

Had the stocker laying on the ground in 30 minutes. The Pelfreybilt bumper was hanging on the truck, finished, 40 minutes later.

I swilled beer for 3 hours after that, huge grin on my face.

It's not THAT tough of a job.

BTW, I did mine by myself. I'm a broken down tired ass old man.

I expect results!

You guys obviously don't understand the Chinese calendar, the planetary alignments are not lit rn.

Grabs fire extinguisher....

 

Wipe it down with acetone. Spray light coats of primer. Prime the back side....2 or 3 coats. Then roll it over and do same on front side. Once primer is dry, sand lightly with 400 grit paper. Then wipe with a tack cloth or clean with compressed air. Paint the back side with several light coats. Then turn it over and complete face side with multiple coats.

Then bolt that be-och on the truck.

Call it good.

Go read my build thread. My bumper was picked up @ Fed Ex terminal on a friday morning. Primed that afternoon. Painted that evening. Hung on the truck next morning. In less than 24 hours from the first time I touched it, the job was done. Lights can EASILY be installed later.
