Replaced a pump last week. Date code Nov. 1951, cast in Wisc., machined in Milwaukee. Still would have lasted another 20 years if I could get a mech. seal but sadly no seals existent anywhere. That's quality cuz that thing ran 24/7.

 

My original Milwaukee tools lasted 10 - 15 years of daily use. Once they started outsourcing I went through two circular saws and two sets of drills in 1 year. I haven’t bought one since.

 

Think Milwaukee evolved from Souix tools or at least in the air tool dept. Still using them today.

 

Porter-Cable used to be awesome. They got bought out by Rockwell, making cheaper versions of the tools.... Now they are owned by Black and Decker, pure crap, disposable tools on a job site.

My old Porter-Cable belt sander is still going.

 

Oh ya, I forgot, you're a wood wittlin' guy Paul. Wood guys are super touchy about their tools. What kinda chisels you suppose this fella used? He's pretty good.

Auto Zone is about $45 here for EACH bulb. (German) Wally's is $40 for a PAIR or $23 for singles (Mexican)

Well you folks out that way are getting bent over then. Auto parts stores here are higher than Zon and Wally, but not that much higher.

I found my first set for $35 on Zon. Same price for H11 fog bulbs.
Since I had a low beam totally dead on the driver's side, I couldn't wait 2 days for Prime and paid $45/set at Wally's.

Never ever ever in all my years of using the Silverstar Ultra's in almost every vehicle I've owned have I seen these: (pic for product reference and clarity of the subject at hand) that cost over $55/set in any store I've walked into. YMMV

Google maps sucks today, it just took me to Costco instead of the UPS store, so I used Apple maps, it took me to the loading dock behind the UPS store. Close enough.

 

Last set I bought is now over 2 years old now. (According to register in my check book, I bought them in November of 2015) Difference in price is more than offset by much longer life. Go to eastern Ky and buy the cheap shit or pay a little more here and get reliability. I'd rather not have my headlights going out every few months ....
