Can you simply replace little by little with a turkey baster over a period of time or does it all need to be done at once?

 

Same with PS fluid?

Coming out of the anesthesia she was so loopy. She defaulted to a little girl. All she wanted to do was hold my hand and bury her head in my chest.

 

Haven't done it on this Truck yet, too cold. Spray the bleeder screws down for a couple of days. Then use a flare nut wrench & crack all four bleeders while maintaining & adding new fluid to the Rez. Once it shows clean at the bleeders, you're done.

 

Bit chilly but should be around 50 later . Might have to wash the truck !

That's been discussed from time to time on Bobistheoilguy site. There's some debate about how much the fluid mixes. Some say not much. But the concensus is, that it does.

So replacing some of the fluid in the master cylinder on a regular basis certainly can't hurt. But that's more of a good practice after a fluid replacement IMO. Just replacing some of the MC fluid won't really flush out the moisture and contaminants in the lines, wheel cylinders and calipers.

I'll be doing a fluid flush and rear drum adjustment on the Taco around the 50k mark.

 

Too scared to hit like. Might lead to Chemical dependency. That Creamsickle thing is just the hook.

 

I have a Miti-Vac that I use if no one else is around. It can be a PITA....but it works. Used it the other day when I replaced a caliper on the FIL's Sienna.

But I prefer the old 2 person method. It's the quickest way. My wife has helped me bleed many brake systems and clutch systems over the years. So knows exactly what to do.

 

Did she end up with black eyes? Kinda strange how that works.

How complex is it to adjust the rear drums?

 

Why do you feel they need adjusting? They do it automatically when you reverse & brake at some speed.
