Cabin filter from my BIL's '04 Camry. He said his mechanic checked that.

Either my BIL is confusing the cabin filter with the engine filter (which looked pretty good) or he needs to find a new mechanic.

The pleats are completely impacted with bugs, dirt and debris. That cloth appears to be a disposable shop rag that was sucked into the HVAC intake. No evidence of rodents, thank goodness.

BTW, they live 500 miles away. So I don't get my hands on this car very often.

It's time to have stuff on the smoker and be outside not in the kitchen with a slow cooker.

 

I know but its all climate controlled and stuff inside... Plus lighting and audio is bad enough in a controlled enviroment

Yes. And I swear to you that it wasn't staged. That's exactly how it was pulled out. Had to dig out some of that cloth from up in the housing, which leads me to believe that it came from the top down....meaning it was sucked in the HVAC intake.

The intake area itself was completely clogged with leaves and other tree debris.

This whole thing got started because he wanted me to change out his license plates....he got some new ones. But the bolts were seized. So I drove it to the house to work on those bolts. The A/C was cold but had no volume. Between the intake and the filter....no wonder.
